Moe Davis supports the extreme liberal environmental legislation known as the Green New Deal, which would:

• Devastate the economy of Western North Carolina

• Cost families as much as $65,000 per year - more than the median household income in NC

• Impose a "carbon lockdown" worse than the COVID lockdown

• Hurt lower-income families with higher energy prices, as much as $3,800 per year

• Unwind the fracking revolution, which has dramatically reduced CO2 emissions

• Strengthen Russia and China by crippling our economy and energy supply

• Do almost nothing to reduce global temperatures because it focuses only on the U.S. and ignores polluters like China

• Do nothing to advance and deploy nuclear energy, which produces no CO2 but the radical left finds politically incorrect

• Exploits generational concerns about the environment to advance unrelated socialist goals like government-run health care and "guaranteed income" without a job

People in WNC are tired of the left's counterfeit compassion. The Green New Deal would hurt our people and our planet. It would delay and obstruct reforms with its reckless and costly virtue signaling.
